Doughnut Shoppe, Elves & Goats: Earth at TABLE

Doughnuts Earth Hidden Pond Table Maine Kennebunkport Resort Collection

What is it about a doughnut that causes a person to go crazy with food love?  Doughnuts spark a passion for food storytelling. Doughnuts are imbued with sweetness, indulgence and memory.

Many of us have memories of summer vacation breakfasts–of a trip to the local general store to get fresh cinnamon sugar or powdered cake doughnuts, or of waiting in line at seacoast institutions for the heavenly glazed rings and cream filled puffs.

Doughnuts bring good feelings (and perhaps a few guilty ones too) as they are rich, flavorful and oh-so-wonderful to eat.

On Saturday, December 5, 2015- Powder the Baker of Earth at Hidden Pond will be cooking up his airy-fluffy-crispy-light-and-scrumptious brioche glazed doughnuts from 11-4pm.

If you haven’t had these beauties, you are in for a real treat.

Chef Justin Walker of Earth and his wife Danielle will also be in attendance with their family farm’s goats for a sweet meet-and-greet. Wreaths and garlands will be for sale to benefit the Walker Stables at Johnson Farm Equestrian Scholarship Program for Young Riders.

Santa’s Elves will be on-hand for photo-ops and merriment.

All are welcome.  No reservations required.

Location: The Bake Shoppe behind Table: 27 Western Avenue, Lower Village Kennebunk, Maine.
